Our Story
Pilates Collective is an evolution. Serving the Whidbey Island Community now for approaching 20 years, our original Langley location was founded as Island Pilates Center by Leslie Larch in 2003. Nicole Falso taught with Leslie for 2 years before becoming a full partner in 2008 and subsequently sole proprietor in 2013.
In 2019, Nicole partnered with Melody Ward and added a second studio location in Freeland. Both studios offer Reformer Pilates group classes as well as Private Training. Each location has some slightly different equipment and offerings which make your experience at each unique.
Most recently, in 2022 we opened the doors to our third Reformer studio in Oak Harbor and are proud to serve Whidbey Island in whole. As locally raised, female business owners we strive to provide a valued service and set an example for women and girls to follow their dreams.
Our Methodology
Pilates Collective takes a contemporary approach to the Pilates Method, adapting the work to the bodies in class, always with the goal of optimizing form and function within our limitations. Our Langley studio is equipped with Merrithew (Stott) equipment while our Freeland and Oak Harbor locations utilize primarily the Balanced Body Allegro II. Each instructor is well trained and brings their unique set of skills to the studio.
